Fragments of Chaos

$375.00

Hundreds of individually cut wooden elements form a precise geometric field, each carrying a fragment of an original abstract composition. Layers of red, yellow, violet, green, blue, orange and black twist, drip and collide across pale surfaces, while the exposed sides of the blocks provide a quiet visual counterpoint.

The original painting was divided into individual pieces and reconstructed with deliberate variations in size, orientation, spacing and depth. What begins as spontaneous gesture is broken apart and subjected to structure—yet the energy of the original marks survives within every fragment.

Viewed from the front, Fragments of Chaos appears almost like a coded language: hundreds of individual marks organized into a larger visual system. From an angle, the work changes dramatically. Its varying depths become apparent, shadows emerge between the pieces, and the flat painted surface becomes architectural.

The work explores the tension between chaos and control, spontaneity and precision, fragmentation and order—asking whether disorder disappears when we impose structure upon it, or simply takes on a new form.
